The Lunar Landing 5K and Kids 1K
Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed mission commander Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin, both American, on the lunar module Eagle on July 20, 1969, at 20:17 UTC. Armstrong became the first person to step onto the lunar surface six hours after landing on July 21 at 02:56:15 UTC; Aldrin joined him about 20 minutes later. Michael Collins piloted the command module Columbia alone in lunar orbit while they were on the Moon’s surface. [1]
About This Event: the Lunar Landing 5K is a great way to celebrate one of mankind’s greatest accomplishments.

Q. What is the minimum age requirement and do you need a parents or guardian’s consent to participate?
A. The minimum age for the 5K is 6 years, and we do need the signature of a consenting parent or guardian. No runner under the age of 12 may participate in the 5K or 5 Mile Run unless accompanied by an adult. There is no age limit for the Kids 1K.

First male and female open and master. Awards to top 3 male and female runners in each age group. No duplication.
5K AGE GROUPS:
10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Kids-K 10 and under will receive finisher’s medal
